Mark 7:31-37 - Jesus healed a man who had been deaf and mute from birth. The people brought him to Jesus, asking Him to lay His hands on him. Jesus took the man aside, put His fingers in the man’s ears, and touched his tongue. After a prayer, Jesus said, “Be opened!” And immediately the man’s ears were opened, and his tongue was loosed, and he began to speak plainly.
This miracle is a profound demonstration of Jesus' divine power and His compassion. The man had been isolated from the world for so long, unable to hear or speak. By healing him, Jesus not only restored his ability to communicate with others but also showed His desire to restore individuals to full wholeness.
Jesus' act of healing the deaf and mute man was done with a personal touch, showing His empathy and care for the man’s plight. This miracle is also a symbol of the healing power of Jesus, both physically and spiritually, enabling people to hear the gospel and speak the truth.
