Mark 7:31-37 - Some people brought to Jesus a man who was deaf and could hardly talk, and they begged Jesus to place his hand on him.
Jesus took him aside, away from the crowd. He put his fingers into the man's ears, then spit and touched the man's tongue. Looking up to heaven, Jesus sighed deeply and said, "Ephphatha!" (which means "Be opened!"). Immediately, the man's ears were opened, his tongue was loosened, and he began to speak plainly.
This miracle shows Jesus' personal touch and deep compassion. Unlike other healings where He spoke from a distance, here Jesus physically interacted with the man, showing that His healing power is both intimate and transformative.
